Governance Committee

The AGM

SWOP NSW has an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year, usually towards the end of the year. Here we go over our financial reporting, the Annual Report, our achievements as an organisation, and other matters. This is led by the Governance Committee, and only SWOP NSW members can attend.

Each year at the AGM SWOP NSW’s membership elect a governance committee. The elected committee is delegated the responsibility to make governance decisions for the organisation and is accountable to the membership.

The elected Committee is made up of the following positions:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Association Secretary
  • Assistant Secretary/Treasurer
  • Ordinary committee members with a maximum of nine committee members.

The Governance Committee is responsible for governance oversight and strategy which includes ensuring SWOP NSW is legally compliant.
